While the copy writing tends to pay the bills, what I considered to be my first love and strongest skill set is in script doctoring and story editing. I have degrees in Radio-TV-Film and English and almost ten years of experience writing stageplays, screenplays, and teleplays. In that time, I have written worked as a reader for film festivals, and written, story edited, and script-doctored professionally for animated sitcoms, Emmy® Award winners, and up and coming playwrights.
A Basic Story Consult will usually be a three-hour session in which I will read your treatment and offer suggestions as far as content, characters, story suggestions, solutions, and so on. This costs $100.
An In-Depth Story Consult or Script Consulting (also called Script Doctoring) session will take longer – ten to twenty hours, typically in which I’ll read through your script several times and offer rewrites to the story, dialogue, and other detailed solutions. This will cost $250-$750, depending on the extent of work that needs to be done.
